Course description

You teach. We take care of the rest.

Many yoga teachers dream of leading a retreat in Bali, but do not know where to start: the venue, the local team, the ceremonies, the transport and the paperwork. We plan the whole retreat for you, with a Balinese team and a Balinese teacher beside you.

You choose the dates, the size of the group and the budget. We send a free proposal within a week, and you pay nothing until your group is booked.

Two ways to work with us

  • A custom retreat for your students. Your programme, your price, our venue and local team.
  • Join a ready-made retreat. Our Balinese Yoga Retreat in Tabanan, customised from 3 to 7 days, is open from January to March 2027 for guests and for teachers who want to bring a few students.

Your host

I'm Ocha, a Balinese yoga teacher with more than 3,000 hours of teaching across Bali, Indonesia and Europe. I trained in a 500-hour Hatha course, Aerial and Yin trainings, and deepened my practice in Rishikesh. After 16 years across hospitality, journalism and wellness, I host authentic Balinese retreats from my home island, and I am completing a master's degree in Tourism, Culture & Religion.

I can teach beside you, or arrange the teachers here in Bali, so your guests meet Bali through Balinese people and not through a resort schedule.

  1. Tell us what you want. Dates, group size, budget per guest, style, level, and a place if you have one. A short call or form is enough.
  2. A free proposal within a week. Two or three places, a day-by-day programme, a price and what you earn.
  3. You choose. We hold the rooms. You pay nothing until your group is booked.
  4. We run it. A booking page, payments, guest emails and coordination on site.
  • You set the price and the budget. We cost it honestly and share the margin.
  • Typically 60% of the margin on the guests you bring, and your own place is free.
  • We can also fill empty places through our lists in Europe, the Nordics and Australia, and you receive 10% of the margin on those guests.
  • For each retreat we agree a cut-off date and a minimum number of guests. If the minimum is not reached, nobody pays.

This retreat is rooted in Balinese wisdom. It is about slowing down, taking a break from digital devices, and reconnecting with ourselves and with nature. Through yoga, meditation, time outdoors, ritual and simple activities inspired by Balinese wisdom, we create space to rest, reflect and step away from the busyness of everyday life.

The aim is to help guests feel more relaxed, find peace of mind, recover, heal and gain mental clarity. By learning from the Balinese values of living in harmony with the divine, with ourselves, with others and with nature, guests can also find simple ways to bring more balance into their daily lives.

The retreat is customised to the needs of the guests, from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 7 days. The programme and the theme change with the length of the retreat, the wishes of the guests and the weather. Here is an example of the activities:

  • Stay in peaceful accommodation at Yama Balian, in a beautiful village in Tabanan, Bali
  • 3 healthy meals a day, made with fresh local herbs and ingredients bought directly from the farmers
  • Healthy Balinese jamu, inspired by the Bali Usada Taru Pramana knowledge
  • Use of the accommodation facilities
  • Welcome blessing led by a Pemangku, a Hindu priest (Matur Piuning ritual)
  • Daily meditation, pranayama and yoga asana rooted in Balinese wisdom
  • Sound immersion with an authentic handmade Balinese singing bowl
  • Nature walk
  • Culture experience
  • Temple visit with Panca Sembah prayers, in traditional Balinese dress
  • Water blessing ritual, Melukat, with sacred spring water
  • Journaling and rest time
  • Balinese massage with a natural scrub
  • Mandala sharing circle with a Dharmawacana talk (workshop). The topic is chosen from the "Guidebook to Balinese Wisdom, Culture & Tradition"

The core values of this retreat are rooted in Balinese wisdom: Tri Hita Karana, cultural appreciation, environmental awareness, compassion towards animals and mindful living.

Prices and booking

  • From €295 per person for 3 days in a shared double room, €370 in a single room. Early bird €260 for the first guests.
  • 3 healthy meals a day, daily yoga and meditation sessions, free access to one of Ocha's online courses, and 30 days of WhatsApp support with 4 weekly live Zoom classes.
  • A 50% deposit confirms your place, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. The retreat runs with a minimum of 6 guests, otherwise you are refunded in full.
  • Teachers who refer guests receive 10% of every booking, and their students 5% off.
  • The venue and the exact weekend are announced together once the minimum number of guests is reached.

Before your guests come

  • A short welcome email with everything they need to know
  • A personal 15-minute Zoom hello with you or Ocha
  • Free access to one of Ocha's online courses, such as Yoga for Beginners or Yoga for Better Sleep

After the retreat

  • 30 days of support in a private WhatsApp group
  • 4 weekly live Zoom classes, under your name, so the practice continues at home
  • First access to the next retreat

This is for you if:

  • You teach yoga or run a studio and want to offer your students a retreat in Bali
  • You want a Balinese-led experience, not a resort schedule
  • You do not want to carry the risk of paying for a venue before your group is booked
  • You prefer to teach and be present, and leave logistics to a local team

Retreats offer yoga, meditation and relaxation. They are not a medical treatment.

"How big should my group be?"
Most groups are 6 to 20. We agree a minimum for each retreat, so it only runs when it is worth running.

"What do I pay up front?"
Nothing until your group is booked. We hold the rooms for you until 30 days before arrival.

"Can I bring my own teachers?"
Yes. Ocha can teach beside you or arrange local teachers, whichever you prefer.

"Which dates are possible?"
Any time of the year. January to March is the quiet green season, with the best prices.

"Can you help with transfers and visas?"
We arrange transport in Bali, and we send your guests the practical information they need.

"What about the Indonesian market?"
Indonesian residents (KTP) can pay in rupiah at a resident rate, and we are happy to talk in Bahasa Indonesia.
